A very exciting weekend! GRAND OPENING 12noon Valentine’s Day!
LOVE LOCKER LAUNCH WEEKEND! The BBC, ITV & Channel 5 will be filming!
“The World's Biggest Love Lock Rescue.”
Thornbridge has rescued the 40,000 locks from the Bakewell bridge - the council were going to chop them off and melt them down. NO!!!
We have designed a new structure for the locks called the LOVE LOCKER.
The forever home of the Bakewell locks and a home for all the locks that are added in the future.
The LOVE LOCKER will sit alongside the QUACKERS CAFE where the bike racks used to be. (The bike racks have a new home - close by - don’t panic)
Marriage Proposals welcomed. 💍
The fun continues on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th. Fun and Games - treasure trails to help you find your lock. A bell to ring when you are successful.
Treasure hunts that will lead you to certain locks - study the locks - answer the questions and you can win some love hearts.
And…. Of course a chance to add your own lock
FREE to access
FREE parking
FREE garden entry all weekend!
Be one of the first to add your own lock to one of the freshly unveiled sections of the Love Locker. Pop by Bakewell to grab your engraved lock or bring your own special one. We've got locks available for purchase, and permanent markers to make your message as unique as your love story.
